Who We Are

Austin DuBois – DuBois Law Group, PLLC

Helping Families Protect Assets from Long Term Costs

The world is full of information--but the sources are often biased; health care facilities, government agencies, opportunistic advisers. The families that work with the professionals at DuBois Law Group, PLLC know that we are committed to one person: them--or group of people: their families.

Good estate planning often means more to families with modest assets, because they can afford to lose the least. We are focused on developing a holistic plan based on what makes the most sense for you or your loved ones--no one else. And we advocate for that, passionately. It’s never too early to prepare for the future, an estate plan begins with a will or a living trust.

Austin’s knowledge, compassion, and partnership was invaluable when Mom needed his assistance. Not one detail was missed, and he gave Mom the opportunity to make decisions that were important to her- before her death.

What the DuBois Law Group Can Do for You

Asset protection for people that are not ultra-high net worth happens two different ways: proactively and reactively. For people that recognize that the greatest threat to their hard-earned savings is long term care costs, we proactively custom craft a plan that involves trusts, wills and other planning documents.
The elder care attorneys at DuBois Law Group want to ensure that the majority of your assets stay with your family, regardless of the care you might need. Often times, seniors that have not been proactive in planning are misguided by Nursing Homes and other professionals. We offer last-minute solutions that greatly reduce the amount they need to “spend down” on long term care costs, allowing much more of their assets to stay with their families.
Austin DuBois of the DuBois Law Group, PLLC has been helping families in Orange County and the Hudson Valley for over twelve years. In 2019, DuBois left Blustein, Shapiro, Rich & Barone, LLP to pursue his dream of “guiding families on how to maintain control of their lives in a confusing situation.” Austin has been a life-long resident of New York State but currently resides in Newburgh, New York. There, he works closely with non-profits in the community such as Good Work Institute, the city of Newburgh, and the Boy Scouts of American in the Hudson Valley.
